St. Croix National Golf and Event Center

Lessons

There are many exciting events happening this year.

The Facility
St. Croix National is a top rated 18-hole golf course and practice facility located just east of Stillwater Minnesota in Somerset Wisconsin. A 300-yard driving range is complimented by a 3 level tee box, 2 putting greens, 2 practice bunkers, 2 short game areas, and a par 3 practice hole. St. Croix National also has a clubhouse/restaurant, golf shop, and new banquet facility. The WP Golf Institute gives private lessons, runs clinics, golf schools, and junior golf programs through out the year at its facility.

Private Lessons
The Director of Instruction is David La Pour (see bio). Using video, teaching aids, and the latest instructional techniques from the WP Golf Institute, the private lesson is a great way to improve your game and your quickest path to results. The interview process, physical evaluation, goal setting, mental approach, and digital video analysis are all parts of the private lesson. Many students leave with a game plan on how to improve the shot worked on and a video of their swing. Check the different types of lessons below to fit your need:

WP Golf Schools
A fun and practical way to work on your golf game, the 1 and 2-day WP Golf Schools are geared to the golfer who is interested in knowing what and how to improve, how to lower your score, and most of all how to create your "golf consistency". David will help you with your putting, short game, full swing, course management, show you how to practice correctly and enjoy the game more. Schools are limited to a 5:1 student teacher ratio and include 6-12 hours of instruction, theory presentations, on course playing lesson, lunch each day, personalized notebook with video, and gift bag.

WP Clinics
The WP Golf clinics are one of the most popular and cost effective ways to improve your golf game. Usually in a relaxed and informal setting, these group lessons start with an indoor 10-minute theory covering the basics of set up and swing. Then the class works their way outside for practical application on the facility. Proper technique, distance control, and bad lies are all covered in this 60-minute session.

Junior Golf
Junior golf is a very important part of the Institute. Not just because we enjoy working with juniors, but also because they are the future of the Institute! Our goal is to create an atmosphere of learning and playing for fun and if desired, competing. In addition to enjoying the game, the future amateur or professional may very well come out of the Institute. Youth Golf Programs
